Sapphire FleX HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 This graphics card is a non-reference card that will bring you more than a high quality heatsink or a factory overclock, this card brings something no other HD 6870 does... a built-in DisplayPort converter. Eyefinity aside, this card delivered the performance the reviewers expected to see from such a card.

Compared To:

Compared to many other graphics cards, the ATI Radeon ranging from the HD 5750 to the HD 6990 and the NVidia Geforce ranging from the GTX 450 to the GTX 580.

Benchmarks:

Colin McRae: Dirt 2, Eyefinity, Futuremark 3D Mark 2011, Just Cause 2, Mafia II, Metro 2033, Power Consumption, StarCraft II, Temperature testing, Unigine Heaven 2.1.

Test Setup:

  • Computer Case : Cooler Master HAF X Full-Tower
  • CPU : Intel Core i7-975 EE
  • CPU Cooler : Corsair H50 Water Cooller
  • HDD : Seagate Baracuda 500GB 7200.11

  • Monitor : Gateway XHD3000 30"
  • Operating System : Windows 7 Ultimate x64
  • PSU : Corsair HX1000W
  • RAM : Corsair DOMINATOR 12GB DDR3-1333MHz

Overclocking:

The Radeon HD 6870 must have a great overclocking potential, the manufacturer didn't overclock this card even a little bit. The reviewers did not perform any overvclocking.

Sapphire FleX HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 Offering three DVI display support, this video card doesn't offer any improvements over the Radeon HD5770 FleX. Both video cards will let you run three DVI displays and you cannot game in the Eyefinity mode, on the other hand with the assistance of a DisplayPort 1.2, support for up to five displays has now been realised.

Compared To: This graphics card was not compared to another video card.

Test Setup: Unknown.

Benchmarks: No benchmarks were tested.

Overclocking: The reviewer did not perform any overclocking.

Sapphire FleX_HD_6870_1GB_GDDR5_299-1E178-001SA_ This graphics card has lots of display options and a very good gaming performance with the ability of Eyefinity gaming. The High quality cooling system works great and the OC results were good, allthough more OC options might be nice.

Compared To:
