Gigabyte GV-R577UD-1GD

This graphics card was not compared to another card in the benchmarks. In the power consumption section it was compared to the Sapphire HD5750.

Conclusion: This card has the same features as the HD 5850 and 5870, like DirectX 11 and Eyefinity (a 'single screen' multiple monitor solution), the performance is of course not as high as the 58xx series but nevertheless it's good and the cooler is better than the 'reference cooler'. In other words an great card for a great price and a great overclocker. The editor gave it an 'approved' award.

Overclocking: With the ATI overdrive in auto-mode the reviewers reached 950MHz for the GPU and 1440MHz for the GDR5 memory, that's a gain of 11.76% and 20% respectively. The reviewers pointed out that manual overclocking with the RivaTuner could lead to higher results.

Test setup: Mainboard: Gigabyte GA-EP55A-UD6 -- CPU: Core i7 860 OCed @3.8GHz -- Memory: G-Skill ECO 1600MHz 2x2GB -- CPU Cooler: Noctua D14.

Benchmarks: 3D Mark Vantage,Devil May Cry 4, Maxon Cinebench, Resident Evil 4, Street Fighter 5, Unigine DX 11, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
