Axle Geforce G210 512MB GDDR3 64bit hitechlegion tested the Axle Geforce G210 512MB GDDR3 64bit

The setup used for this test was a Core I5 750, a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6P mobo and 2X2GB DDR3 Patriot Sector 5 1333 MHz memory.

Conclusion: As this card is not really a video card for gamers, it could be an alternative for an IGP though, since the IGP uses system memory you would have more memory available and it could also limit the workload of the CPU when you are watching a Blu-Ray or DVD, next to that the GPU could also be used for transcoding videos. CPU temperatures didn't rise above 5 degrees Celsius during the tests(idle 27 degrees max 32 degrees celsius). The Axle GeForce G210 at idle was 31C and at fukll load it was atc44C.The Case temperature went from 26C to 28C.

Overclocking: The reviewers did not perform any overclocking.

Benchmarks: 3D Mark Vantage, Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil 5, Batman Arkham Asylum, Cyberlink DVD Pro 9.0, ArcSoft Total Media Theater, Win DVD 2010, Cyberlink Espresso.

Conclusion: Even with the minimum settings for basic video cards, this card was unable produce good scores in any of the tested games. The temperature was never over 48°Ceslsius during testing, because of the Arctic Cooling solution that is reponsible for keeping the temperatures low. With the HDMI output this card could be used as a HTPC video card, especially with the temperatures being so low.

Overclocking Overclocking Use the overclocking software to adjust the Clock frequencies your GPU, Memory, and Shaders until your card crashes, than go back to the last stable clockspeed. The Axle GeForce G210 wasn't a great overclocker, the max OC was 650MHz for the GPU core, and the memory was OCed @850MHz.

Benchmarks: Far Cry 2, Crysis Warhead, Darkest of Days, Call of Duty World at War, Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War II, Batman Arkham Asylum, Resident Evil 5, Left 4 Dead, 3DMark 06, 3DMark Vantage.

Axle Geforce G210 512MB GDDR3 64bit overclockersonline reviewed the Axle Geforce G210 512MB GDDR3 64bit

The Axle GeForce G210 video card is a basic video card based on the NVIDIA G210 chipset and runs @790MHz. In the benchmarks this card was compared with the PNY GeForce 8600 GTS.

The Axle G210 couldn't be pushed very much as can be expected from a lower-end card. The overclocked core reached 640 MHz whichn is round and about 10% more than the stock speed, the memory was 'boosted' to 835 MHz (stock 790) and shader to 1445 MHz (stock 1400). Because of the small gain you won't find the overclocking results in the benchmarks.

The highest temperature during tests was about 52 degrees Celsius, because of the Arctic Cooling Accelero L4 cooler, which is also very quiet.

Conclusion: The GeForce G210 didn't disappoint, allthough there's no doubt that this entry-level graphics card was not intended for mainstream gaming. The G210 can be considered a low-end card not capable of DX11. Because of the well-designed quiet cooling solution it could be the perfect solution for a HTPC case especially since it has a HDMI connector.

Benchmarks: 3DMark2005 and 3DMark2006, Lightsmark, CineBench R10, BioShock, Call of Duty 4, and Crysis.
