The big selling point for this card is the Voltage Tweaking ability for more
overclocking headroom.
There's a premium price tag on this graphics card, because the GPU clock is OCed to
775MHz and the Memory to 1000MHz, the reference card is clocked @ 675MHz Core and 900MHz
Memory.
Conclusion:
Despite the fact that the ASUS ENGTX460 is a decently overclockable card with higher
factory speeds, it still fails to impress compared to Zotac's similarly powerful but
cheaper offering. The ASUS card is about 20% more expensive than the Zotac card, so the
ENGTX460 is a hard sell indeed.
Overclocking:
The results were quite impressive, but this video card is having trouble keeping up
with the Zotac GTX 460 1024MB which has the reference speeds. At factory settings, the
ENTGX460 makes a lot more noise under pressure than the Zotac GTX 460. Overclocked the
ENGTX460 was extremely loud, the fan got overstressed and the reviewer was worried that
something would blow up.
