ASUS EAH5770 CUCore/2DI/1GD5 Reviews

march 25 2010 review by pcstats

ASUS EAH5770 CUCore-2DI-1GD5 The ASUS EAH5770 CuCore/2DI/1GD5/A graphics card has about the same performance as the Radeon HD 4870 video card, since the GPU core die is manufactured @ 40nm this video card's power consumption is a lot less.

Conclusion: The Radeon HD5770 Graphics card doesn't bring huge increases in performance to the market if you look at the same price tag, when compared to older DirectX 10 cards in the same price range, the performance results are about the same, the big plus is of course DirectX11. DX 11 game titles like Stalker: Call of Pripyat and Dirt II are allready on the market and the number of DirectX11 games will probably grow fast. Hardware tesselation for more details in games, will be a 'hot item' in upcoming games titles. As allready mentioned above the 40nm core will draw less power and the cooling is OK because of the amount of copper.

Overclocking: The reviewers OCed the Radeon HD 5770 to 910MHz GPU and the GDDR5 memory to 1325MHz, the stock speeds being 850MHz for the GPU core and 1200MHz for the graphics memory means that there was an increase of 7% for the Graphics Core and over 10% for the memory.
