Intel now claims that the new CPU and its integrated graphics can process media up to 4X faster.

Intel used Cyberlink Media Espresso 6 as a universal medial converter and they tested transcoding of 449MB file in 1920x1080 MPEG 2 video to a smaller 640x360 H.264 MPEG-4 video. The test finished four times faster than with Core 2010. This was actually transcoding from MPEG 2 to MPEG-4 but at the same time, the rendered file was much smaller as it was intended for iPhone and iPod Touch viewing.
