This 10.1 inch (1024X600) netbook comes with an ATOM N450, 1GB DDR2, 250GB HDD, Bluetooth and weighs 2.2 Kg. The NB30 is avalable in black and in blue.
Conclusion:
The NB30 is exactly as you would expect: Small, light, Intel Atom, 10 inch screen and a long battery life. It has protective finish, a free fall sensor and is semi- water resistance. Windows 7 Starter edition isn't the most appealing
operating system, but it runs fairly well given the unit's hardware specifications, 2 GIGs of memory would be better of course.
Benchmarks:
Crystalmark 2004R3 and PC Mark Vantage. The PC Mark vantage bench of 1109 was on par with other netbooks.
Compared to:
This netbook was not compared to another notebook-netbook in the benchmarks.
Photo editing:
The NB30 handled large files fine, though only one at a time, it's OK for Small jobs like color correction and basic editing.
Screen Quality:
The NB30 screen comes in two variants, the standard one which we have here and the NB30 Touch, equipped with a resistive touch screen. By design, the resistive touch panel on the touch variant hinders performance, as is common with
resistive panels however the standard NB30 the screen is brilliant.
Processor:
The Atom N450 is a nifty processor, but its purpose is efficiency and low power consumption.
Battery Life:
One could probably, hypothetically get 10 hours of life out of the NB30. The magic number with netbooks tends to be around six hours.
