This laptop is equipped with an Atom N450 CPU and 1GB of DDR2 and the storage is a 250GB HDD, the lack bluetooth could be considered a
major loss.
keyboard:
The keyboard is about as comfortable as one could really ask for on a netbook this size. It's for the most part easy to get used to, and
the keys have good travel and depth.
Screen:
The quality of the Samsung N210's screen is in and of itself not terribly noteworthy: the low 1024x600 resolution is as cramped as ever,
and the overall sheen sparkles a bit more than the average matte screen does.
Benchmarks:
Internet Performance, 3D Mark 2003, 3D Mark 2005, 3D Mark 2006, Cinebench, PC mark 2005, PC mark vantage, x264 HD.
Bloatware:
Samsung has lots of bloatware like McAfee and other totally unnecessary utilities. The minimal hardware is already beleagured enough, and
loading all that extra stuff makes it very slow.
Battery Life:
The battery lasted for 294 minutes @full load and 503 minutes being idle. The battery life pretty much falls in line with most other Pine
Trail based laptops, topping out at a touch over eight hours of useful life.
Conclusion:
If you add an extra GB and install W7 Home Premium you can definitely improve the overall system performance and the GMA 3150 IGP is able
to handle Aero Glass. The battery life is on par with the competition and performance is as expected. But in terms of looks,
the N210 is really great. It has an excellent keyboard that's fairly easy to get accustomed to, and the use of
matte plastics across the entire shell is a winner. Samsung has assembled a sleek-looking machine that combines practicality and
personality.
