This laptop is a competent multimedia notebook that is durable and small. The 14.5 inch Radiance LED display is overpriced but the switchable ATI 5650 graphics card, backlit island-style keyboard and Beats Audio are all quality features.
Benchmarks:
3D Mark 2006, 3D Mark Vantage, CPU Arithmetic, CPU Multimedia, Far Cry 2, Sisoft Sandra, Unreal Tournament 3.
Battery Life
The battery is an 8-cell unit rated at 3,750 mAh.
Using the integrated graphics at full screen brightness, the battery was good for 3 hours and 25 minutes.
cooling system:
The Envy's cooling system remained quiet for the most part. Only under 100% CPU utilization the cooling fans got louder.
