Gateway SX 2311-03 SFF Reviews

august 16 2010 review by techspot

Gateway SX 2311-03 SFF Conclusion:

There was no sign of sluggish behavior during general usage, this is a solid Home Theatre PC. A total of nine USB 2.0 ports should keep even the most peripheral-happy users content. HDMI and eSATA are nice additions as well, but there's no DVI connection. As was to be expected, the SX falls short when running games that rely heavily on the GPU. The system features Wi-Fi connectivity through a wired antenna, the included keyboard and mouse are average at best.

Bloatware:

This is just a ramdom pick of all the 'extras' that can potentially slow down your system : eBay Worldwide, Gateway Games, Google Toolbar, Norton suite and other software.

Test Setup:

  • CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 820
  • HDD : WD Caviar GreenPower 1TB SATA
  • Mainboard : Gateway GeForce 9200
  • Memory : 2x2GB DDR3
  • Optical Drive : 16X DVD+/-R/RW
  • PSU : 220W
  • Video Card : Nvidia GeForce 9200 IGP

Benchmarks:

3D Mark 2006, PC Mark Vantage, SuperPI Mod 1.5, Sisoft Sandra, Unreal Tournament 3, Crysis.
