Thermalright HR-02 Reviews

august 14 2010 review by overclockersclub

Thermalright HR-02 Package & Mounting:

The package contains all the mounting hardware, including documentation, fan clips and thermal paste, but no fan. Installing the HR-02 requires fastening the backplate to the anchoring mount, which the heat sink is clamped onto.

Conclusion:

Even fanless the performance was impressive. The HR-02 comes in at a stout 860 grams without any fans. A low speed fan should make it one of of the high end coolers on the market while still keeping fan noise very low. Thermalright has made an excellent cooler capable of running passively, even on an overclocked Core i7 CPU and this is very quiet.

Compared to:

  • Cooler Master V6GT
  • Intel Stock Cooler
  • Prolimatech Super Mega
  • Thermaltake Contac29
