Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition VM400M1W2Z thinkcomputers reviewed the Thermaltake V9 BlacX Edition VM400M1W2Z

This enclosure is a part of the V series cases, which includes eight cases. Four of these cases have the V9 label, of which you could consider the BlacX the ranking third in line, one step above the standard V9 Black Edition at least as far as pricing is concerned. However the V9 BlacX edition is probably the best value for money. ....More

MSI N580GTX Lightning kitguru reviewed the MSI N580GTX Lightning

While this card is already supplied in a highly overclocked state, this particular core had a massive headroom, thanks in part to the voltage tuning options on offer via the MSI Afterburner software. The reviewers were able to break the 950mhz barrier from this sample which is one of the best results they have ever achieved. Obviously, overclocking can be very hit and miss, with even different samples from the same batch delivering mixed results. Twin Frozr III cooler is one of the best available and this card gives a Better value for money than the GeForce GTX590. ....More

Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition pcper reviewed the Intel Core i7-990X Extreme Edition

Despite being based on an older architecture when compared to the new hotness that is Sandy Bridge, the Core i7-990X is arguably the fastest processor that Intel offers to consumers with a fat wallet. In cases where applications were highly threaded and could take advantage of the 6-cores / 12 threads of the Gulftown CPU, examples of which are Handbrake and POV-Ray, the 990X ran away with the performance advantage followed closely by the Core i7-980X. Even though the processor runs at 3.46 GHz as the default clock speed (and that the i7-2600K can reach much higher than that) the power of 6-cores is hard to get away from when it comes to processor-bound computing. ....More

ASUS ENGTX560 DCII TOP-2DI-1GD5 anandtech reviewed the ASUS ENGTX560 DCII TOP-2DI-1GD5

In terms of performance this video card looked very good, and while it's a bit slower than the GTX560 Ti, it's basically good enough to be its equal. From what we've seen, with a 925Mhz+ factory overclock this GTX 560 can erase the deficit with the Ti. Build quality is good and it has a Ti-like performance. It has not the acoustic properties of the Ti though. as long as it's cheaper than a reference GTX 560 Ti this card will be a perfect choice. ....More

Lenovo X1 anandtech reviewed the Lenovo X1

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1, is an ultraportable notebook that turns out to pack some suprises in its svelte frame. Measuring 16.5mm at its thinnest (the front edge) and 21.5mm at its thickest (the back edge) the X1 is not the thinnest laptop on the market, but it could be the thinnest with a Sandy Bridge mobile processor. The 13.3" screen is optimized for travelers with a pane of Corning's Gorilla Glass covering its TN-panel and peaking at a reported 350 nits at a resolution of 1366x768. ....More

HIS 6790 IceQ X Turbo 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E HDMI-2xDVI-2xMini DP tweaktown reviewed the HIS 6790 IceQ X Turbo 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E HDMI-2xDVI-2xMini DP

Looking at the card, you can see it's similar to other IceQ X cards we've looked at due to the simple fact it carries with it the same cooler. In the past the cooler has proven to be very quiet and efficient and it will be interesting to see how it goes on this slightly lower end HD 6790, since the last IceQ X card we looked at was part of the HD 6800 series. ....More
